19+ Policy
Kahnawake Casino is open only to adults 19 or older, no exceptions. On this page you'll see how we check age, the steps we take if an underage player gets through, and ways parents can keep children away from gambling sites.
19+ Only
Nobody under 19 can open an account or play.
Only players 19 and older can play here. Gambling has to be allowed by the local law in your area, and we follow Canadian rules on age, identity checks and anti-money-laundering. If your local law asks for a higher minimum age, we use that age instead. Setting up an account for a person under 19, or allowing a minor on your account, goes against our Terms & Conditions.
Parental Controls and Filters
Basic tools let you block gambling websites on devices your family shares.
We urge parents and guardians to use the protection already built into phones, tablets, computers and home routers. These independent options can help too:
- Gamban / GamBlock: programs that block gambling apps and websites on a device.
- Internet Matters: practical guidance for parents on online safety, including setting up controls by device and by age.
Content filters work best alongside regular, open conversations with children about what they see online.
How We Check Age
Age is confirmed before any money changes hands.
When you register, you tell us your date of birth. We confirm your identity and age, using an electronic check or a copy of government photo ID, before we accept your first deposit, and we check where you are at the same time. If anything doesn't match, the account stays locked until we finish checking. See our Identity Checks page for the documents we accept.
If a Minor Is Found
Underage accounts are shut straight away.
If we find out that someone under 19 is playing, we lock the account and stop all play straight away. Every bet on the account is voided and winnings are cancelled. Where Canadian law allows, we refund deposits using the payment method they came from. We may reach out to the adult whose personal details or payment method were used, and we keep records as the law requires. Worried a minor is playing at Kahnawake Casino? Email us and we'll act quickly.
Shared Devices
A handful of easy habits help keep children out of your account.
Family devices are often used by everyone at home. To keep your casino account for adults only:
- Sign out whenever you finish playing.
- Stop your browser from saving passwords.
- Never share your login details with anyone.
- Give each child their own user profile on shared computers and tablets.
- Lock your phone with a PIN, fingerprint or face recognition.
